Hello fellow bloggers,
I got tired of trying to journal what happens these days because it’s kind of all the same during exam season: eat, study, sleep, repeat. Maybe after exams I’ll have more to say. For now though, I’m going to answer these end-of-the-year questions from the New Years Tag that an awesome blogger, Ket Cage nominated me for.
Here are the rules:
- Share a link back to the person who tagged you: https://cynicalsouls.wordpress.com/
- Share a link to the person who created the tag- jesusluvsall.wordpress.com
- Share a favorite New Year’s Memory
- Answer the questions of the person who tagged you.
- Make questions for the people you nominate.
- Tag whoever you want.
- Use any picture that you like for New Years.
My favourite New Years memory is when I was younger and my family drove down to the park down our house to sit on the bleachers and watch as the neighbors shot fireworks up in the field for the whole community to see!
If you could celebrate the New Year anywhere. where would it be?
I haven’t thought about this much. At the top of the Eiffel tower seems like an exciting place to be on that day. I know I would not want to be in the famous, crowded New York Parade in Times Square that I’ve heard insane reviews about.
2- What is your favorite snack food for New Years?
Chicago style popcorn because of family tradition.
3- Have you ever kept a New Year’s resolution? If so, what was it?
I used to not believe in them. Reflect on yourself year round. Do NOT wait until the end to remind yourself of what you should have started with. However this year, I want to live as authentically as possible. I’m young and this is the time where I will have the most energy to follow my dreams: start business plans, travel, grow my character by volunteering, learning what I’m passionate about etc. I’m done waiting for a time where I can follow my dreams. The time is 2021.
4- What do you want to do with your blog next year?
Piggy backing off of my last answer, I want to record all the steps I’m taking to grow into my true self. The hope is that in recording my feelings and experiences as I find my self and ignore what the fearsome haters say, I will inspire others to grow into their authentic self as well.
5- Do you prefer a big party or a small gathering to celebrate?
I’m going to answer this as if COVID was finally over and we didn’t need to avoid large gatherings: I only need a small group of close friends to be happy…but I want to start challenging myself to network and explore different personality types in larger groups of people…so large celebrations.
My questions for you all are the exact same as Ket Cage’s questions which I just answered above because I genuinely want to know what your New Year’s plans are in light of COVID:
Also who in your life are you getting Christmas presents for this year and what are you hoping to get them?
What in your life are you most grateful for?
If you’re interested in doing this challenge, please feel welcome (or if you’re not interested and I nominate you then please do not worry or feel pressured at all.) I nominate:
